200792 - Big Sunday Post!

One of the best exotica jungle albums this side of Hatari.

Those Clebanoff Strings sure are exciting.

Oriental percussion and harum girls? You came to the right place!

Mr & Mrs Herbert Janeiro of California this is for you. They were the original owners of this album according to the label in the top left corner of the cover scan. Little did they know that their record would be digitised and shared on the net, future innovations of which they would have been blissfully unaware.

This is a compilation I made up ages ago and it has been requested so here it is.

So there you have it. Have a good weekend!

Well, I want to give a massive thank you for this post. Of course I would have extended my appreciation for Percussion Orientale and Pagan Love (I'm lucky enough to have them on vinyl already). I'm not sure about Clebanoff but I'll come back to it later.

Regards,

I've been lucky enough to have this on mint vinyl for a while now and completely agree with X's assessment of it. Fresh, inventive new exotic with a little different twist. Impressive recording too. Get it while you can.

Thanks so much for this great album.

They really are "exciting"!

Soaring arrangements, creative percussion and great syncopation.

What a great find..

Thanks again --
