Thanks! Somebody in a mix-tape circle I belong to used "You Smell so good" in their mix a few years ago, and I was regretting not dubbing myself a copy before I mailed the tape to the next person in line.

Was this Ethel's only LP? I've done a number of searches and this is the only one that turns up. It's hard to find any biographical info too.
Thanks for this great post.

Ethel has one other album that I know about. I will share this eventually. She was under the wing of Martin Denny and he produced the above album. She is Japanese/Hawaiian but there's not much else I know about her.
Don't know much about her either, apart from her superb voice. Great production and songwriting on both albums as well. I love 'Ringo Oiwake' and 'Johnny One note'.
In the 1970s Ethel was singing in Waikiki nightspots, mostly with Jimmy Borgess.
She can be seen acting in bit-parts in five episodes of Hawaii 5-0. See Classic TV websites for details.
She died in the late 1990s.
Xtabay welcomes you to a site where exotica, lounge and space age pop music rules.
I like to post out of print albums but if anyone has a legitimate beef with any post I'll remove it immediately.Coming to you from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia.
And remember music isn't everything but its way ahead of whatever's in second place.
Requests are welcome and don't forget your comments are valued.

Now I have it on my hard drive.
