Accommodation on the Gold Coast QueenslandThe Gold Coast is a large city by all counts and offers loads of choices for where to base yourself for a holiday. Ranging from Coolangatta right through to Hope Island and inland to Mt Tamborine and the Hinterland there are accommodation houses including guest houses, hotels, apartments and resorts.So I guess it depends on what sort of escape or holiday your looking for. For example if you wanted to be in on the action and nightlife a boarding at at chattel in the Hinterland might not be the perfect location! But it would be a fantastic spot for relaxing, secluded and nature escape. So there is the first decision amongst many to get the accommodation search underway. Once you know what type of holiday, how many people, how close you need to be to transport and attractions it becomes a lot easier to choose the area you want to be based in and start looking for deals. Other things that I considered when planning our holiday was when the peak holiday times on the gold coast. Peak times can be pricey for accommodation on the coast although there are bargains here and there and off peak times can be really good value for both flights and accom. During schoolies (november), the indy (late october) or magic millions (early january) the accommodation availability drops in the central areas and it can get pricey.
