Visakha SPCA

Visakha is a is a coastal city with a population of almost 20 million people, located in the state of Andrah Pradesh on the eastern coast of India.    The Visakha SPCA began in 1996 and has grown in its operation over the years.  It is now involved in a large variety of community projects orientated towards the protection and care of animals within Visakha and the surrounding regions. 

Current projects being undertaken by the Visakha SPCA include:

• Animal Birth Control program for cats and dogs
• Adoption of stray or lost animals
• Wildlife protection
• Sea turtle project
• Cow sanctuary
• Migratory Bird protection
