Fund Raising Aims

I have a number of personal aims for this project and with a lot of support  from family, friends, the Faculty of Veterinary Science and numberous generous sponsors, I am hoping that they can all be achieved:

• To increase community awareness of global issues, specifically to make Australias aware of issues that animals face overseas, and the organisations that are doing their best to help their plight;
• To raise $5260AUD  (or as much as possible) for the Visakha SPCA, so that they can hire another veterinarian.  This will then increase the amount of work they can do for their many community projects that are aimed at helping stray, wild and disadvantaged animals;
• To work with the vets and helpers at the Visakha SPCA for 2 weeks in December 2008.  I hope to be able to assist with basic surgery as part of their Animal Birth Control (ABC) program and generally assist them where needed;
• To continue training hard towards completing the half ironman triathlon in under 5 hours and 30 minutes.
